Job DetailsJob #133 Location: , NY Job Title: Purchasing Manager Employment: Permanent Salary: 80,000 Job Category: Fashion Description: Our client isa luxury retail brand - they are looking for a Purchasing Manager. Objectives · Responsible for the implementation of policies and strategies to ensure the timely availability of purchased materials consistent with established quality, cost and inventory guidelines. Purchased materials categories include finished goods, watch and components. · Determines the proper stock levels necessary for seamless manufacturing flow. · Provides suppliers with quarterly forecasts of purchased materials needs. Adjusts forecasts on a monthly basis based on actual and projected needs. · Supervises implementation of purchase order system and oversees issuance of purchase orders. · Generates and analyzes various reports based on purchase orders issued and invoices received. Such reports include: Vendor on time performance, Materials rejection rates, Cost versus system specifications and Annual analysis of invoices by material type and supplier. · Reviews market price levels on a semi-annual basis and negotiates with suppliers as needed. · Develops money saving programs with suppliers. · Manages gold and component reconciliation at contractors and suppliers. · Coordinates all overseas production, shipping, customs clearance and brokerage. · Authorizes and implements new vendors, establishes payment terms for vendors in conjunction with Finance. Approves vendor bills, invoices and money wires. · Conducts daily posting of all component warehouses in order to update inventory system. · Establishes appropriate Bill of Materials specifications for precious metals weights, types and cost. Monitors weights of precious materials upon receipt. · Manages organization and execution of yearly component physical inventory. Required Experience · Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar function in a high volume, small parts manufacturer · Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience · Prior experience in manufacturing and/or purchasing jewelry · Prior experience managing people · Prior experience in a planning or expediting role · Excellent written and verbal communication skills · Experience in an MRP environment · Experience working with overseas vendors · Experience interacting with Sales, Merchandising, and factory operations · Able to work under pressure · Good system skills · Experience with excel, word, and other office tools · Experience running meetings, setting agendas, and keeping minutes Compensation · Up to 80K You may submit your resume directly to us in a word document to resumes@pyramidfashion.com.
